Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas Mentorship Program pairs mentors from local businesses and organizations with high school seniors to help guide their career journey and develop college, military, or career plans for post-graduation. Through mentoring, high school seniors explore their strengths and areas of opportunity, discuss college and career plans, learn about workplace communication, dig into leadership styles, find out how to influence and lead others, and much more.
Mentoring consists of one meeting per week for six to nine weeks. This program is developed and supported by CareerCraft. Mentoring Guides are provided for each session.
Have life and job experiences to share? We need you! Committing to mentor a high school senior for just one hour each week can impact their life and career path. Mentors must attend a 30-minute training session via Zoom.
This program is open to high school seniors in partnering school districts across West Central Texas. Participating students must be placed in the program through a class or teacher.
