Betty Hardwick Center is currently seeking a Wraparound Facilitator in our Child & Adolescent program in Abilene.
Job Description:
- This position provides intensive case management and skills training to Child and Adolescent Consumers of Mental Health services and their families in Taylor County.
- This position will be responsible for: facilitating wraparound services for YES Waiver and LOC 4 clients; some daytime crisis work; participating in diagnostic reviews and diagnostic intakes for consumers; assessments and treatment planning, and administering the treatment, as well as teaching skills training to the clients and their families; ensuring that the treatment plan is developed and designed based on CANS calculations and the authorized level of care.
- Schedule is primarily 8-5 with the expectation of some evenings and on weekends.
- This position requires an average of 4 hrs of face to face service per day.
- Travel expenses are paid by the Center.
- Must be able to work well with other child serving agencies such as the schools and juvenile probation.
- This position requires intervention for treatment and frequent in-person contact with children, families and service providers.
- This position requires the ability to: identify problem/need areas; work under pressure and stressful situations in a professional manner; be thorough in assessment and documentation; locate and utilize a variety of community resources to meet the needs of the children and their families; assist in negotiating and advocating for each individual with service entities outside the Center and a positive relationship with the child and their family.
- This position is responsible for direct assessment of the child's living environment and providing spontaneous assistance as needed to both the child and family.
- Will also be required to attend school ARD meetings, wraparound staffings and CRCG meetings as they arise to act as an advocate for the child and family.
- This position may require certification in wraparound facilitation and subsequent use of skills working with families and outside team members.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a social, behavioral, human service or health-related field including, but not limited to, psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, educational psychology, education, and criminal justice PREFER DEGREE IN SOCIAL WORK).
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health experience is preferred.
- Must be able to qualify to be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS). Training will be provided.
- Must possess a valid Texas Drivers license and be an insurable driver.
Pay: $17.45 - $19.88 per hour (DOE)
