[ARCHIVED] Field Representative

US Census Bureau (Snyder)

Field Representative

The Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) is one of the primary sources of national and state estimates on family and household income. The survey collects monthly information about income, participation in various government programs and demographic information.

All interviews are conducted using a laptop computer provided by the Census Bureau. Hours are flexible but you must also be available to meet respondents at their request including evenings and weekends. The field representative must be willing to work in all types of areas and neighborhoods. The job requires that the field representative be capable of carrying a laptop computer and supplies up to 15 pounds and climb stairs. The assignment area may include areas outside your home county, therefore a reliable working vehicle is required.

Once eligible, persons offered a position will be contacted by telephone.

Applicants who are not selected or are ineligible for hire will be contacted by mail.

Those that successfully complete the survey assignment will be considered for additional survey work if vacancies are in your geographic area.
