Texas State Technical College (Abilene) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Provost.
The Provost will work with the VC/Chief Academic Officer in developing, implementing, and maintaining strategies that grow the Student Learning outcomes of TSTC including overall placements of students, salaries of placed students, campus enrollment and persistence. The Provost will be responsible for the overall operations of Student Learning and faculty at the campus level, the volume and quality of instruction, the experiences of its students, the various constituent relationships that support TSTC’s educational and commercial undertakings, and building the overall TSTC brand in that particular campus region. The Provost is responsible for building productive and dynamic relationships within the community to their mutual benefit financially, economically, and otherwise. The Provost is the senior campus executive for the purpose of local and community matters, such as, enrollment, fundraising, educational and/or community collaborative, requests for service on community committees/initiatives, speaking engagements, communication with local and regional elected officials, and other matters of public affairs in the local or regional community. The Provost is accountable to the VC/Chief Academic Officer, will serve as the lead Student Learning Executive for the campus; and works collaboratively with the other Vice Chancellors to ensure tactical oversight of functional divisions on the campus.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree and ten years of applicable experience.
