GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Provide service to airport customers in fueling and towing aircraft; perform custodial duties in keeping building and premises in a neat, orderly condition; mowing grounds in airport area; may work in extreme conditions of weather, shift work and holiday work is required; performs refueling of aircraft and other maintenance work at airport facility as required by Airport Manager. Must be willing to adopt and exhibit the City of Brownwood “I SERVE” Core Values.
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC WORK PERFORMED:
1) Fueling aircraft; 2) Move aircraft with proper equipment; 3) Minor maintenance of buildings and grounds; 4) Operate Unicom; 5) Prepare daily report of sales; 6) Responsible for receiving monies, preparing credit cards and necessary clerical work for sale of fuel; 7) Daily inspection of fuel tanks and trucks; 8) Operate weed eaters, chain saws, leaf blowers, skill saws, small tools while performing minor maintenance duties; 9) Operate large tractor and other mowers to mow around runways and other airport areas; 10) Will occasionally perform duties in bucket of a lift truck while installing light bulbs, etc.; 11) Will operate a cutting torch during maintenance of buildings and grounds; 12) Light maintenance of ground vehicles; 13) Will greet people with respect and professionalism as they enter the building and as they fly in on the airport ramp; 14) Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
