The Workforce Development Specialist I performs entry-level employment work. Work involves conducting interviews to assess client needs, disseminating information and facilitating access to workforce development programs, and providing employment counseling services. Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Two years of full-time qualifying experience in gathering information, interviewing or counseling; in the instruction, demonstration, and interpretation of policies in a public or private enterprise; in direct social work; in eligibility determination; or in workforce development issues and programs.
-Fifteen semester hours of accredited college work may be substituted for each six months of experience.
SALARY: $2800/month
