Under the direction of the Park Manager, this position performs complex (journey-level) administrative support work including coordinating and managing the daily business operations of Abilene State Park.
- Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and others as required by the Regional office and Austin headquarters.
- Maintains accounting ledgers, budgets and monitors expenditures.
- Processes and tracks travel vouchers, timesheets, vehicle logs and purchasing actions using the Department's Business Information System (BIS).
- Organizes and maintains files, including personnel records, correspondence, travel and credit cards.
- Provides customer service to include computer camper registration, selling permits and licenses.
- Maintains office supply inventories.
- Assists with park programs and special events.
- Provides information and assistance to park visitors and the general public.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Park Gift Shop to include monthly inventories.
- Performs general cleaning of headquarters facilities, grounds and equipment.
- Provides leadership and supervisory functions for administrative staff and volunteers.
- Other duties may include scheduling and training administrative staff, interpretation, and participating in support group activities.
