Program Nurse

General Description:
 
Under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the RN coordinates activities of the IDD Group Homes within our catchment area.  Duties include assisting with appointment scheduling, monitoring vital signs, administering medications as instructed by Physicians, obtaining prior authorizations for medications, processing refill requests, and coordinating laboratory testing.  The RN will be responsible for telephone triage of client complaints regarding sign and symptoms of their disease process and/or medication issues. 

Qualifications:
 
Graduate from an accredited Nursing school and a current Registered Nurse License for the State of Texas is required.  Prefer a minimum of 6-month experience working in MHMR setting.  Must possess expert knowledge of purpose, policies and standards of nursing care.  Basic computer knowledge and good communication skills required, both verbal and written.  Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and driving record in compliance with CFLR policies. 

Salary:

$3,477.34 - $3,913.78 per month, depending on experience
