PARK MAINTENANCE (LANDSCAPE / IRRIGATION) 20-0727
This is a non-supervisory position that is responsible for the care and maintenance of landscape areas, irrigation and mowing of city owned property. Primary responsibility is for city buildings and islands. Must be willing to adopt and exhibit the City of Brownwood “I SERVE” Core Values.
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC WORK PERFORMED:
- Knowledge of care and maintenance of landscape areas.
- Maintenance and installation of irrigation systems.
- Cut lawns at city buildings and islands with power mower.
- Operate small garden tractor equipped with mowing apparatus.
- Trim hedges and walkways.
- Polices parks and recreational areas to assure they are kept clean.
- Assist other employees in repairs and maintenance, including painting, plumbing, welding and minor electrical jobs.
- Assist with the pecan harvest at the Pecan Field Station during the months of November through March.
- Assist in moving tables, chairs and other equipment to various locations as directed by the Parks Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Parks Supervisor.
Minimum Pay: $16.94/Hour (Depends on Experience)
Maximum Pay: $17.45/Hour
