Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

A privately held family owned and operated company in Ballinger, TX is looking for the ideal candidate to fill an opening for a Controller/CFO. The ideal candidate will need to have a hands-on and interactive management style as they work directly with the Executive Team daily.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the Controller/CFO position at our company include but are not limited to:

• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Prepares a complete financial statement monthly.
• Ensures that all general ledger accounts are current and accurate.
• Interprets the financial statement regularly and informs owners of developing trends.
• Meeting with department heads regularly to go over business matters and develop plans to increase profitability.
• Proactively manage and safeguard company assets.
• Prepare the daily, weekly, and monthly reports required by the management team.
• Reviews the general ledger and schedule accounts and investigates any unusual entries.
• Reviews the reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payables, floor plan payable, A/R, and A/P.
• Ability to teach, mentor, and lead accounting staff.

Job Requirements

• Minimum bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in accounting or related discipline. A CPA is not required but preferred.
• Five years of accounting experience.

Additional Requirements

• Strong leadership, high character, a strong work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work flexible hours as needed. Hands-on approach to work is required.

Minimum Pay: $110,000.00/Year (Depending on Experience)

Maximum Pay: $150,000.00/Year
