Job Description:
- Utilizing a stenographic machine and computer-aided translation program
- Making verbatim records of all proceedings in the 326th District Court Child Protection Court of Taylor County
- Reading aloud any portions of testimony required by the court
- Producing transcripts of testimony and proceedings as requested by the court, attorneys, and parties, pursuant to the local practices and as required by Texas law, Supreme Court rules, and the rules of the Judicial Branch Certification Commission
Job Qualifications:
- Must be certified in machine shorthand by the Texas Judicial Branch Certification Commission
- Must have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Must be able to comply with the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct and the Texas Court Reporter Code of Ethics
- Must be organized, punctual, and have the ability to meet deadlines
