Street Foundation Drilling Inc. in Abilene, Texas is looking to add Ground Hands to their out-of-town Foundation Drilling team. This is not an oil and gas related position.
Job Duties:
- Assist with maintenance and upkeep of foundation drilling rigs, trucks, and other equipment.
- General labor on construction sites.
- Drive a pick-up to and from worksites, sometimes pulling a trailer.
Job Requirements:
- Must have valid driver's license and a 3-year clean driving record.
- Cannot be on a current probation or parole (due to travel).
- Must be willing to travel overnight Sunday-Friday (hotels are an employer covered expense and shared by an operator and ground hand).
- 12 months of any construction or trade experience is required (employer will train employee).
- Must have proper clothing for work and weather, including steel or composite toed leather work boots that provide ankle protection.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must provide a Social Security card (no photocopies, pictures, etc.)
Benefits:
- Opportunity for advancement: Overtime ground hands can learn and work up to an operator position.
- $16 - $18 starting salary
- $40 daily peridium
- Company pays all but $25 a week for employee health insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield). Available after 90 days of employment
