City of Brownwood is seeking a Mechanic - III.
The Mechanic III is responsible for the efficient repair and operation of all heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Responsibilities extend to operating the equipment to insure operational status. Welds and fabricates as necessary to effect proper repairs. Participates in trainings related to computerized system controls. Heavy equipment for the City is described as, but not limited to, Landfill loaders, dozers, compactors, Sanitation trucks (side loaders, rear loaders, and crane truck), dump trucks, scrapers, graders, fire engines and aerial trucks.
