To help child care businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Texas Workforce Commission launched a Child Care Relief Fund (CCRF) and recently increased funding by an additional $1 billion to provide direct support to the child care industry, bringing the total to $3.4 billion.
The Child Care Relief Fund is available to child care businesses that are a licensed or registered child care center or home; have been open and operating in Texas; and that don’t have a corrective or adverse action with Texas Health and Human Services Commission Child Care Regulation. Applications are now being accepted from eligible providers and will run through May 31, 2022. Eligible center and home-based child care businesses should have received an invitation to apply directly from the Texas Workforce Commission.
If you have any questions or need help, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Texas Workforce Commission via email or visit their website for more information.
