The Skills Development Fund is administered by the Texas Workforce Commission to provide grants for customized training for individual employers or groups of employers. Eligible grant recipients include public community and technical colleges, the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), or community-based organizations working in partnership with community / technical colleges or TEEX.
Businesses are not required to make financial commitments, however, contributions of resources are considered in the evaluation process. Grants are typically awarded for 1 year. Texas Workforce Commission staff are available to assist with the grant process.
